Distortion 3, Bus 1.
The assignment was to listen to soundscapes and pick out the key sonic elements of each.
The recordings you have posted are 85% isolated, sound _effects_. I'm still interested in learning more about how you hear sounds in space.
Let's see if we can figure out what is creating the over-modulation & distortion. There's a good chance your headphone volume was set too low and that caused you to turn-up the record level too high. There's a passage in the Hi-MD set-up instructions about how to judge and set record levels.
